Jay Leno Uses MIPRO Wireless
The annual Napa Valley Wine Auction is a major charity fund-raising event in the U.S. The auction, which has raised more than $52 million for local health care, housing and other causes since it began in 1981, got a major makeover this year. Imagination Promedia, a MIPRO dealer, set up the audio equipment for this occasion. Both ACT-series and MR-801 systems were used.
Jay Leno, the star of the NBC "Tonight" TV Show, was hired to host the auction and is shown here using a MIPRO MH-801 handheld microphone as is actress Teri Hatcher of the hit ABC show "Desperate Housewives". In addition, the show assistant, Ursula Hermacinski, was using a MIPRO MU-55HN headworn microphone and the auctioneers were using the ACT-series.
The event sponsors and guests have given high compliments to MIPRO's wireless products, especially the ACT units. Mr. Joe Wisler of Imagination Promedia commented, "We love the handheld Jay was using, it sounds so good and has absolutely no handling noise".
The news was reported on the front page of the "Wall Street Journal" on June 24, 2005.
