The annual Napa Valley Wine Auction is a major charity fund-raising event in the U.S. The auction, which has raised more than $52 million for local health care, housing and other causes since it began in 1981, got a major makeover this year. Imagination Promedia, a MIPRO dealer, set up the audio equipment for this occasion. Both ACT-series and MR-801 systems were used.

Jay Leno, the star of the NBC ‘’Tonight ‘’ TV Show, was hired to host the auction and is shown here using a MIPRO MH-801 handheld microphone as is actress Teri Hatcher of the hit ABC show “Desperate Housewives”. In addition, the show assistant, Ursula Hermacinski, was using a MIPRO MU-55HN headworn microphone and the auctioneers were using the ACT-series.

The event sponsors and guests have given high compliments to MIPRO’s wireless products, especially the ACT units. Mr. Joe Wisler of Imagination Promedia commented, " We love the handheld Jay was using ~ it sounds so good and has absolutely no handling noise".
