Asia Beatbox Championship 2018 took place on 20 and 21 July 2018 in Taipei under the motto "BEAT HERO, BE HERO". MIPRO was again the main sponsor of the event and equipped the artists with our MM-59B Beatbox microphone. The MM-59B is a high quality dynamic microphone with a high dynamic range and precise sound reproduction.

The play "Üöhm Pitters Krüönselstrüükelschen," produced by a Germany ensemble, Lüttringhauser Volksbühne, was performed at the Freilichtbühne Ramscheid-Lüttringhausen in the course of the Bergische Heimatspiele 2018.

I set out to review several different in ear wireless systems and give a real world test for musicians out there looking to transition from floor monitors to wireless IEM’s. It seems like every band and musician that performs live these days is using in ear wireless or wanting to make the move to in ear wireless.

Operated by the Southwest Ohio Regional Transportation Authority (SORTA), the Queen City Metro Conference Center serves as SORTA’s boardroom / meeting space. With seating for approximately 150 people, the facility recently underwent a sound reinforcement system upgrade to ensure better audio quality. A significant part of the new sound system includes 20 channels of 2.4 GHz wireless microphones—a surprisingly high channel count in that frequency band —all drawn from the MIPRO ACT 2400 Series catalog, which is distributed throughout North America by Avlex Corporation of Kansas City, MO.

MIPRO was a winner of this year’s iF DESIGN AWARD, a world-renowned design prize. The winning product, TA-80 digital plug-on transmitter, won in the discipline “Product”, in the “Audio” category. Each year, the world’s oldest independent design organization, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, organizes the iF DESIGN AWARD.

The “Dun & Bradstreet SME Elite Award”, organized by the American company D & B, is based on the comparison of the national export data of Taiwan’s SMEs and the big data database of Dun & Bradstreet from payment records, financial stress index, payment index, purchasing power index, export growth rate and exit grade, etc., as well as the annual import and export performance in the recent three years exceeded 500,000 U.S. dollars, with no loss for each year. Out of the nearly 2 million domestic SMEs, 98% of total Taiwanese companies, top 1000 enterprises were selected with the most export competitiveness.

2017 Asia Beatbox Championship was held in Taipei, Taiwan on August 18th and 19th, attracting a thousand of spectators. In order to establish the Asia Beatbox Championship as one of the biggest international beatbox tournament in the world, the host, TWBEATBOX.com, elevated its scale to 3 competitions and invited 7 juries from U.K., France, Singapore, Switzerland, and Russia. The 3 competitions are Solo Battle (one-to-one), Tag Team Battle (pair-to-pair) and Loopstation Battle. 50 contestants from 18 countries came here to compete for “Asia Champion” trophy.

On the 4th and 5th of September 2017, Paderborn hosted the 11th edition of the largest German artists’ fair for street theater and culture in public space. MIPRO Germany in cooperation with the Musikhaus Musik Aktiv Schallenberg, a MI and Installation company for AV market, has equipped 6 spots with portable sound systems this year.

The MIPRO ACT-2402 is a dual-receiver digital wireless system that can be accompanied by a wide range of transmitters. Operating in the 2.4 GHz band, the system employs the company's proprietary Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum technology that helps in eliminating interference, utilizing an adaptive tracking algorithm with four “hopping” frequencies for each channel preset in use. Transmitters use a 18500 lithium battery, with the included MP-80 desktop drop-in charger making re-charging an easy affair.

Městské divadlo Zlín (city theater in Zlín) was founded in 1946 and has one of the most progressive scenes of the whole Czech theater history. Its repertoire and cast are appreciated by both public and professionals and the theater also offers Czech-Slovak cooperation very often. For metropolitan Zlín city, the theater performs multifunctional culture space. It has a capacity of 800 beholders, a large stage with most modern equipment and also lots of valuable architectural and art segments. So there’s no wonder that the theater management relies on the best technical equipment, and that’s why MIPRO brand has been part of its inventory for many years.

On 3 July 2017, the international design scene convened in Essen’s Aalto-Theater for the Red Dot Gala. During the gala, the laureates of the Red Dot Award: Product Design were duly celebrated and the Red Dot: Best of the Best winners received their trophies. The Red Dot: Design Team of the Year 2017, the Canyon Design Team, won over the crowd with an extraordinary appearance. Afterwards, the party went on well into the early hours at the Designers’ Night in the Red Dot Design Museum in the midst of the award-winning products.
